In Arizona, Pinetop-Lakeside is conducting long-range visioning that includes Firewise action. In Texas, recent WUI fires destroying nearly 30 homes have generated lots of interest in learning to be Firewise. And of course, many communities, like McCreary, Kentucky, have moved beyond the thinking and pondering stage to the real action of neighbors helping neighbors become Firewise.
