Description of Event: The 2010 Idaho Wildland Fire Conference provides an opportunity for members of the Idaho wildland fire restoration, protection and education community to explore what is new, emerging and currently working well regarding wildland fire in Idaho.

Conference Highlights: We are pleased to welcome author, Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award Winner, Timothy Egan, as this year's keynote speaker. Mr. Egan will share his insight on the infamous 1910 fires and where Idaho is a century later in wildland fire management largely because of them. Learn about the exciting new Idaho Firewise Program; Discover new ideas during several "County Sharing" presentations; Explore new and emerging programs; Receive updates on federal, state and local fire policy, and enjoy listening to dynamic speakers including Research Scientist, Jack Cohen.
